Eve Summers — Hard to Pin Down
Posted by Jessica on July 22, 2010
About Eve
With 8 titles published so far by Red Rose Publishing, and 2 more under contract, you would expect Eve Summers to show some kind of consistency. But apart from the fact that 6 out of the 8 books hit the bestseller list, the only thread holding these books together is the recurring interracial theme.
The settings vary from urban to island holiday, the themes from Halloween to science fiction. While the heroine of one book looks for love in online chat rooms, another will visit the chat rooms for her PhD research, and a third will reject the notion of chat rooms altogether. One of Eve Summers’ heroes will play cards professionally to make money for a sick child, another will only pretend to be a con man, while yet another will be a scuba diver.
Although chiefly love stories, each book poses a question:
- Can you protect yourself from falling in love?
- How do you fight bigotry in your own family?
- Why do we love bad boys?
Out Now
Eve’s latest release, The Upgrade (published July 15, 2010), hit the Red Rose Bestseller list within 24 hours. Taking place on a tropical island, on the Surface this is a light holiday read with enough heat to justify its erotica label. Dig deeper, though, and you’ll start thinking about the premise of marriage vows and how far you’re willing to go for your loved one.
